Omaha, Nebraska — When Philo Realty announced a major buyout of its Omaha-based real estate division, many were excited.
After all, this was a company that had made a name for itself in the real estate market.
Philo has been around for nearly two decades and is the world’s largest real estate agent and real estate brokerage firm.
The company was founded in 2002 by David and Barbara Wilkerson and is now owned by a group of investors led by the brothers Charles and James Wilkords.
After taking over from the Wilksons in 2013, Charles Wilkesson made a splash with the acquisition of the New Orleans Saints in 2014 and has since continued to take an aggressive approach in real estate.
While the team has been at the top of the real-estate game for a long time, it was never in a position to compete in Omaha, a city that has long held a special place in the hearts of the Wilkessons.
The family was known for its generosity and commitment to the community.
The Wilkses had been longtime supporters of the local St. Vincent de Paul Society, which runs a program for children who were orphaned or neglected.
That program helped provide a safe place for the children to be cared for by professionals in the local community.
And when the Wilkensons took over the company, they wanted to help others.
That’s how the company got its name.
And the company is now focused on expanding its reach and helping the community grow.
“It’s hard to believe the world is changing so fast,” said James Wilksesson, the company’s chief operating officer.
“I don’t think people understand how much it’s changed.
We’re not a company focused on the big picture anymore.
We’ve become a global organization.
Our global presence is a huge part of our success.”
The team is now trying to make sure that this new company isn’t just focused on Omaha.
“When we took over, we focused on our Omaha office,” said Charles Wilksess, “and now we’re looking at expanding it to help the Omaha community.”
The Wilkenses have taken a different approach to the Omaha real-ty market in recent years.
The brothers have spent a lot of time talking with the local real-tor community and making sure that they’re doing their part to support the realtors who serve the Omaha market.
And in order to help people who are struggling, they’ve set up an online platform where they can find a realtor and get a referral link for an affordable home.
They have also set up a website where people can make an application to be a property manager and get an appraisal.
“We’ve been a very hands-on team,” said David Wilkson.
“In the past, we would go out and spend weeks at a time looking at houses and getting referrals.
Now, we’re a little bit more hands-off.”
But while it’s a little more hands on, there are still plenty of ways the Wilkesons can help out.
“One thing we want to do is connect with local realtresses who have real estate experience and provide them with referrals,” said Louis Wilkisson, the Wilkinsons’ senior vice president.
“There’s not a lot to do at the end of the day if you don’t have a good referral.”
For example, if a real estate listing comes up for sale in Omaha and you don,t have the time to go to the house to talk to the buyer, you can use the contact information that comes up in the search results and get the phone number of a realtress who has a good relationship with Omaha.
Then, if you need to send someone out to the home, you could call the realtor’s number and say, ‘Hey, I want to talk about this house.
What’s your phone number?’
And the real house will send someone to that address.
And that’s really important for the realty, because you know they have a relationship with the real property.
“They can’t do this without a lot more help,” said Francis Wilkiss, the brothers’ younger brother.
“And I think the way we can help is to connect with them.”
And, of course, the real family, the young kids, the parents, and the grandkids, are going to be very important in the end.
“The best way to help is just to be there for them, just to do the work and just to connect them to the real houses that are going on,” said Wilkessen.
“If you can help with referrals, we’d really appreciate it.”
